VP of North America Sales

POSITION SUMMARY:

The VP/Director of NA Sales Management will manage all aspects of Avocor’s NA channel partnerships, with a primary focus on growing sales revenue, sales team results and overall sales team leadership. The role will be responsible for building and implementing successful sales channel programs to leverage existing relationships, driving end-user sales and build on new opportunities in partnership with marketing, sales, services, and support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans (including financial analysis and budgets) to clearly define goals as well as the resources needed to achieve corporate objectives
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key strategic partners including systems integrators, end-users, influencers, and suppliers. Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating/closing deals
  • Set and manage the regional sales, regional field operation teams and regional sales targets and provide forward-looking forecasting
  • Make staffing decisions and perform performance evaluations of staff. Build, manage, mentor and train staff as required to build a strong North American organization
  • Strong understanding and ability to collect data and provide analysis of that data in reports and presentations to summarize market conditions, sales potential, financial performance, strategic action plans, key areas of growth, key areas of concern and related information
  • Support Channel Partners to ensure that they have the resources, training, and tools they need to effectively sell and service Avocor products
  • Manage customer relationships within acquired accounts to gain strategic positioning with decision-makers to grow revenue and acquire additional business
  • Deliver and exceed sales quotas for our partners and channels.  Provide regular updates to sales management on status of existing partners, identify any potential roadblocks to achieving goals as well as all potential opportunities.  Provide weekly report of pipeline and forecast, opportunities and challenges
  • Implements and improves procedures and processes to optimize channel sales program effectiveness
  • Providing regular reporting of pipeline and forecast using SalesForce
  • Keeping abreast of market trends, competition, competitive issues, and products
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, strategic meetings, product seminars, and trade shows
  • Develop plans that maximize channel capacity in alignment with Avocor’s available market
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing to develop and implement a channel program with a strong identity, necessary partner tools, partner portal, and effective sales programs
  • The VP/Director of NA Sales reports to the GM & VP of Sales

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  BA/BS degree or combination of education and experience
  • At least 10 years of sales management experience, including at the Director level or above
  • Established network of A/V, IT and/or video conference channel partners “reference contacts” with whom one has built a trust relationship and with whom one can gain an audience to present Avocor solutions and identify opportunities
  • Proven ability to understand short and long-range company strategy with the ability to translate the strategy into a successful channel sales model and partner ecosystem
  • Solid understanding of finance and P&L including skill at forecasting and managing budgets
  • Success at leading across organizational functions to set and achieve common goals
  • Able to lead complex contract and sales negotiations
  • Skill at people management including the ability to drive incentives for performance
  • Knowledge of SalesForce or other CRM tools
