POSITION SUMMARY:
Avocor is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive sales productivity, strengthen channel technical capabilities, and provide critical support in securing the technical close of sales opportunities. This role partners with sales, service, engineering, and technical support teams to ensure proposed solutions address customer needs and gain buy-in from technical decision-makers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Deliver compelling technical presentations and demos that align client requirements with Avocor solutions.
- Scope, design, and recommend solutions that optimize partner/customer value.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to adapt solutions to customer business requirements.
- Provide in-field and webinar training to enable partner technical teams.
- Partner with sales, service, and support teams to ensure seamless solution design and implementation.
- Achieve assigned targets for profitable sales growth in designated product lines, markets, and channels.
- Educate partners on product implementation, usage, and security considerations.
- Build strong relationships with partner staff and act as the external technical spokesperson.
- Contribute to proposals and presentations, supporting competitive strategy with technical insights.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in IT, A/V, or Unified Communications channel sales.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
- Strong organizational and independent working skills.
- Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Windows OS administration and troubleshooting, including:

- Device Manager, event logs, network settings, DXDiag, and system analysis
- Audio/video configuration, CPU/memory analysis, and USB devices
- Windows installation, imaging, driver updates, and third-party software integration
- Solid understanding of network protocols and diagnosing connectivity issues.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the U.S.
